Stabbing victim in stable condition

Police say a man stabbed Saturday afternoon in the 500 block of Portage Avenue has improved and is now in stable condition.

Police responded at 12:20 p.m. with emergency crews.

Reports suggest the man was stabbed in the upper body and then made his way to the 400 block of Langside Street.

Police had taped off an area along Portage Avenue, including Juniors Restaurant.
