Police investigating 'suspicious' West Broadway death

The police's Homicide Unit is investigating a death that happened in the West Broadway area this morning.

Around 1:40 a.m., police responded to a call near Cumberland Avenue and Spence Street. A passerby had discovered an unconscious man in the area and called the cops.

The unconscious man's injuries are considered suspicious. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

An autopsy is pending and members of the Homicide Unit continue to investigate the suspicious death. The body of the deceased has not yet been identified.
