Police continue to investigate a serious assault in Winnipeg’s North End overnight.
One man, a 19-year-old, was taken to hospital in critical following the incident, which occurred at about 1:30 a.m. His condition has been upgraded to stable.
Police have a 27-year-old in custody and charges are pending.
The assault took place on the 800 block of Selkirk Avenue.
Selkirk was blocked off between Sinclair Street and Battery Street throughout the night and into the early morning. The area has since been re-opened to traffic.
