Police on lookout for men taking pictures of kids in park

Winnipeg police are looking for a pair of men who were taking pictures of children last week.

The incident occurred at a community water park in the 1400 block of Rothesay Street on Aug. 20 at about 4:20 p.m. A woman and her two grandchildren were at the park when the woman noticed two men taking pictures of the children with a cellphone.

No attempt to speak with the children was made by either man.

The first suspect is described as black, about 45-years-old, 6-feet tall with short black hair. He was wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and black flip flops.

The second suspect is described as Asian in appearance, about 45-years-old, 5-7, 165 pounds with shaved dark hair. He was wearing a light-coloured shirt, dark pants, white runners and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 204-986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
