Police seek suspect in serious sexual assault

Winnipeg police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted for a serious sexual assault that occurred the early hours of Sept. 28 in West Kildonan.

Police said that a 21-year-old woman was walking on Jarvis Avenue in Point Douglas at around 2:30 a.m. when she accepted a ride from a stranger.

The driver took the woman out to the 800 block of Murray Avenue where she was sexually assaulted.

The woman required medical attention and police were notified.

The suspect is described about 25-30 years of age, aboriginal or Middle Eastern in appearance, 5’7"-5’8" tall, 160-170 pounds, with short black hair a goatee.

The vehicle is described as an older model two-door pickup truck, dark or royal blue, with a 5-speed transmission.
