An inmate’s death is under investigation at Stony Mountain Institution, prison officials say.
An inmate who contacted the Free Press said the death was discovered early this morning.
Officials said they are trying to contact the inmate's next of kin and will not release the name or any further information until then, said media spokesman Guy Langlois.
A spokesman said the medical examiner has been to the prison to confirm the cause of death.
