The Harper and Selinger governments plan to contribute $20 million toward a $33-million effort to increase grain-and-cereal research and development, production and processing in Manitoba.
Ottawa and Broadway announced funding today for a so-called Grain Innovation Hub, whose task will include turning research into new cereal, oilseed and pulse products.
Private industry partners will provide the remaining $13 million toward the project.
