RCMP officer assaulted in Dauphin
A 40-year-old Skownan First Nation man was arrested this past Saturday in Dauphin after an RCMP officer was assaulted.
Dauphin Municipal RCMP officers had responded to a local bar to remove an intoxicated man who was taken to the Dauphin detachment to be lodged in a cell. The man was belligerent and uncooperative and grabbed one of the officers.
There was a brief struggle but no one was injured.
The man was released on a promise to appear and will appear in court in Dauphin on April 30.
