RCMP seek missing Woodlands teen

Sonya Sumner, a 15-year-old from the rural municipality of Woodlands, is missing, and Stonewall RCMP is requesting the public’s help when it comes to finding her.

Sumner was last seen hitchhiking on Highway 6 on August 26 at 5:15 p.m. She is described as aboriginal, 5'7" tall, 175 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green tank top with black pants and was carrying an Adidas bag.

Sumner is considered an at-risk youth — anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Stonewall RCMP at 204-467-5591.
