RCMP to give update on Project Devote

RCMP in Winnipeg will provide an update this morning on the work of Project Devote, a unit focusing on unsolved historical homicides and missing person cases, where foul play is suspected.

The press conference is slated for 10 a.m., and the Free Press will attend.

Project Devote is a joint effort between the RCMP and the Winnipeg Police Service.

They have been looking for links among 84 Manitoba cases dating back as far as 1926.

Victims are a range of men and women, aboriginal and non-aboriginal.
