Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for most of southern Manitoba.
The weather warning is in effect for the entire southern section of the province with the exception of the area south of Brandon to the Saskatchewan border.
Heavy rains will extend from Killarney to Pilot Mound and east to the Ontario border. That includes Morden, Winkler, Altona, Emerson, Sprague, Steinbach, St. Adolphe, Dominion City, Vita and Richer. The rain is expected to continue into the evening, with an additional 15 to 30 mm expected.
Morden has seen 57 mm of rain, and Environment Canada says unoffical reports have Miami receiving 75 mm.
Environment Canada issues rainfall warnings when 50 mm of rain or more are expected within a 24 hour period, or 75 mm or more within 48 hours.
