A rally Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Canadian Museum For Human Rights in Winnipeg will oppose Canada's potential involvement in a military role in Syria.
On a Facebook page called No War With Syria Rally Winnipeg, a local group of citizens stated the plan of action is "to oppose illegal and unconstitutional war with Syria."
It suggested that activists are launching similar rallies on Saturday in other locations around the world.
"Let's join forces with the rest of the world in solidarity to stand up against this oncoming war with Syria! Human Rights Museum Saturday at 2! Be there or be square! If this war progresses, there's no turning back!" Dawn Fastabend, who created the event, said on the page.
