Another Winnipeg infill development is heading into an appeal process due to concerns about whether it violates Osborne Village-area planning regulations.
Studio Walter Corporation wants to replace a Stradbrook Avenue home with a project it describes as a three-storey, 10-unit condominium development.
Neighbours have filed an appeal, claiming the proposed building is in fact five storeys when you take mezzanines into account and thus is above the maximum height for this portion of the street. They also argue the entrance must be oriented to the street front, not to the side of an adjacent building, as proposed.
Council’s appeal committee will hear the appeal Thursday. Coun. Jenny Gerbasi (Fort Rouge) said she supports the appeal.
