Six escape fire on Blake Street

Six people escaped unharmed from a fire on Blake Street late Sunday evening.

A fire started in the house’s back porch at about 10:45 p.m., said a Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service spokesman. The house, located just south of the CPR Weston Yards, suffered $50,000 in damage.
