Santa takes advantage of special test flight

Santa Claus took advantage of a special test flight opportunity today.

With just over a week until Christmas Eve, the jolly old elf tested out the weather and flight patterns in a very modern STARS Air Ambulance helicopter Monday afternoon.

The Winnipeg Airports Authority partnered with STARS to bring Santa to the airport's firehall to meet 150 students from Mulvey, Strathcona and Dufferin schools for at the surprise visit from Santa.

The lucky students also took in a performance by Fred Penner and You Tube sensation Sean Quigley.
