A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing downtown last month.

Winnipeg police said today that 28-year-old Eldrine Lising Monton, of Winnipeg, has been charged with assault and failing to comply with a probation order.

Police said a 19-year-old man was standing on a patio at Carlton Street and Graham Avenue on Aug. 21, at 1 a.m., when a group of men approached him. One of the men punched the man while another stabbed him in the lower body.

Henry Le, 24, of Winnipeg, was arrested on Sept. 2, and charged with aggravated assault.
