Shamattawa man charged after wife's death

A Shamattawa man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of his common-law wife earlier this month.

RCMP said Robert Riley Napoakesik, 19, has been charged with the death of Tatum Lee Miles, 19, also of Shamattawa.

Miles was taken to the nursing station in Shamattawa at about noon on Sept. 2, where she later died from her injuries.

An autopsy conducted the following day revealed the cause of death as multiple trauma.
