Environment Canada is calling for a second consecutive day of warm winter temperatures for Winnipeg, with sunny skies and a high of -2 C this afternoon. Monday’s high reached up to -2.5 C, making for rather sloppy streets and slushy sidewalks.
The low is expected to dip down to -12 C tonight.
Wednesday figures to be another nice day (a high of -6 C is forecast) before snow enters the region in the evening. That snow will continue through most of Thursday.
Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures are expected to drop down to below normal levels, with highs in the -14 C to -16 C range.
The normal high for this time of year is -7 C.
