Shots fired in Fort Garry, 2 arrested

Two suspects are in custody after shots were fired near Chancellor Drive and Pembina Highway Monday evening.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police were called to the area following reports that shots were heard, a gun seen and two men were spotted getting into a vehicle and fleeing north on Pembina. No injuries were reported.

Police, including the tactical unit and the AIR1 helicopter, searched for the vehicle but couldn’t find it.

About an hour later, RCMP stopped a vehicle near Roblin Boulevard and the Perimeter Highway and arrested two suspects.

The investigation continues.
