Kermit the Frog and Siloam Mission have something in common - they are both bein' green.
The mission, which served more than 420,000 meals last year to people who needed its help, announced today it's five new composting bins would help its 300 Princess St., facility beome more green by cutting waste by up to 50 per cent.
"Siloam is always seeking to extend its contribution to the community and this is an incredible partnership benefitting the whole community," Chris Buffington, Siloam's food services manager, said today in a statement.
Samborski Environmental will pick up the organic waste and turn it into compost for gardens throughout the city.
