Single gunshot killed victim in Keeseekoowenin homicide: police

Police have said the victim of a recent homicide on Keeseekoowenin First Nation died of a single gunshot wound.

Officers from Yellowhead RCMP responded to a home in the community last Friday night and found Terrel Shorting, 34, dead.

Terris Mintuck, 50, was charged with second-degree murder.

Both men are from the community, said a RCMP D Division news release.

Officers from the Brandon RCMP Major Crime Unit, Dauphin RCMP Major Crime Unit, the RCMP D Division Serious Crime Unit and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section are involved in the investigation.
