Six Manitoba schools are recipients of Band Aid Grants, a MusiCounts program that supplies schools with musical instruments.
Three Winnipeg schools, Arthur A. Leach School, John M. King School and River East Collegiate, along with Lundar School, Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute in The Pas and Newdale Colony School in Souris, were among the 86 schools across Canada to receive the grants, said Music Canada, which backs the MusiCounts charity, in a release.
Music Canada represents Canada’s major record companies and also works with leading independent record labels and distributors, recording studios, live music venues, concert promoters, managers and artists.
