Six arrested for North End mugging

Police have arrested five teenagers and a 20 year old who robbed a man in the North End Saturday.

Five males aged 15, 18, 19, 19 and 20, along with a 15-year-old female, were arrested Saturday at a residence in the 900 block of Aberdeen Avenue after a 43-year-old male was assaulted and robbed of personal property.

Winnipeg police, including the canine unit, responded to the area near Aberdeen Avenue and Battery Street about 1:30 a.m. after the report of a robbery that had just occurred.

Police say the victim had been attacked and robbed by six individuals who had all concealed their identities. Members of the canine unit tracked the suspects to the residence where they were taken into custody.

Johnathan Joseph Pacey, 19, of Winnipeg was charged with robbery, disguise with intent and four counts of a breach of a court order. He remains in custody. The other suspects face charges of robbery and disguise with intent. They were all released on promises to appear.
