Skies should clear this afternoon, starting a hot streak

It’s going to be one of those Saturdays – cloudy, chilly and miserably wet.

Environment Canada is calling for 60 per cent of showers this morning and afternoon, with a risk of thunderstorms.

The clouds are expected to clear sometime this afternoon, with the wind from the northeast at 20 km/h. Temperatures will hover around 21 C before dipping to a low of 6 C tonight.

When the storm clears, the sun is expected to stay out til late next week as the mercury rises.

Sunday will be nothing but sun and a high of 22 C, with temperatures peaking at 31 C on Tuesday, according to Environment Canada.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring highs of 30 C and 29 C.

The clouds are expected to return by Friday, however, with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the forecast.
