Slight risk of storm in otherwise sunny weekend

  • Print

Your long weekend forecast looks pretty good, Winnipeg.

Environment Canada is calling for a mainly sunny sky and a high of 29 C this afternoon. Tonight should remain quite pleasant, as well, with a few clouds and a low of only 16 C expected.

Right now, Saturday is the only day of concern. The forecast has changed to a mainly cloudy sky and a high of 25 C. The afternoon could see a slight chance of a shower or two (30 per cent) and a risk of a thunderstorm. Things should clear up come the evening, though.

The sunshine should return Sunday and Monday, but the temperatures won’t be as warm as originally forecast. Look for daytime highs approaching the 25 C mark.
