Slush is just around the corner: warm, wet weather on the way

Above-normal temperatures and the possibility of snow make up your weekend forecast.

According to Environment Canada, Winnipeg and the surrounding areas will see overcast skies and a high of -4 C today. There’s also a 60 per cent chance of flurries this morning into the afternoon. Tonight’s low is -7 C.

The normal high and low for this time of year is -13 C and -24 C.

Saturday should be a gorgeous winter day. Expect a mix of sun and cloud during the day before the clouds start to roll in during the evening. Snow is in the forecast, but the accumulation shouldn’t be more than two centimetres. Saturday’s high is -6 C.

Environment Canada is calling for a 40 per cent chance of flurries for Sunday with a high of -3 C.
