Snow nearing an end, but watch for fog outside Winnipeg

  • Print

In terms of the weather, prepare for a bit of everything over the next few days.

Though Thursday evening’s snow is still falling in some areas in and around Winnipeg, the wet flurries will end sometime this morning. After that, look for a 30 per cent chance of showers the rest of the day.

The high should be 8 C. Tonight’s low is expected to be around the freezing mark.

Environment Canada has also issued a fog advisory for much of southwest and south central Manitoba this morning. Near zero visibility is possible in these regions. The fog is expected to lift as the daytime temperature warms up later in the day.

Winnipeg is not part of the fog advisory.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected for Saturday, with a southeast wind blowing at 30 km/h in the afternoon. Saturday’s high is 10 C.

Sunday is calling for a 30 per cent chance of showers. It looks like we’re going to get more rain on Monday.
