Snow-route parking ban eased

The city’s snow route parking ban declared last week has been lifted as of 7 a.m. this morning.
The City of Winnipeg issued a parking ban on snow routes starting Saturday night at midnight to help plows clear snow from main streets and bus routes. The ban prohibited parking between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. on snow routes, extending the usual annual snow-route parking ban by two hours.
The annual snow route parking ban remains in effect on city streets designated as snow routes. Parking is prohibited on those streets between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. each night until March 1.
