Replay: Manitoba's NFL star Israel Idonije at the News Café

  • Print

One of the best football players to ever come out of Manitoba rumbled down to the Winnipeg Free Press News Café Saturday morning.

Israel Idonije, the Nigerian-born Canadian who immigrated to Brandon when he was four years old, will come by for an interview with reporter Geoff Kirbyson.

He’s in town to put on a football camp for underprivileged kids later that day on behalf of the Israel Idonije Foundation at the University of Manitoba.

Currently an NFL free agent, Idonije has played for the Chicago Bears since 2004. He earned his stripes playing for the U of M Bisons.
