As its unofficial end approaches, it seems summer still has a little left in the tank.
Environment Canada is suggesting a rather pleasant forecast for the capital region, with sunshine and no precipitation in sight heading into the Labour Day long weekend.
Today, look for mainly sunny skies and a high of 24 C. The wind will blow from the south at 20 km/h later this afternoon. Tonight’s low should dip down to 13 C.
Thursday looks even better, with sunshine and a high of 26 C expected.
Temperatures could start to cool off slightly for Friday and Saturday, with the daytime highs projected to be in the 22 C range.
Some shower activity could make its way into the Winnipeg area Sunday.
