Stolen pink tow truck used in break-in

A pink tow truck was stolen on the weekend and then used in another break-in where a Bobcat loader was taken,  police said today.

Police located the tow truck and  loader abandoned on Monday near Inkster Boulevard and Brookside Boulevard.

The pink Ford F450 tow truck was stolen from a locked compound on the 500 block of Munroe Avenue late last Saturday or early last Sunday.

Police said the tow truck was then used for a commercial break-in on the 1500 block of Dugald Road, where a Bobcat loader was taken and put onto the flatbed of the truck.

Police ask anyone with information to call officers at the East District Station Crime Unit at 986-2857, or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS).
