String of Thanksgiving break-ins in western Manitoba

Thieves broke into eight businesses in four western Manitoba communities on Thanksgiving Day, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from each location and an ATM machine from one business.

RCMP said the businesses were located in the communities of Hamiota, Miniota, Sandy Lake and Erickson.

The break-ins occurred sometime in the evening of Oct. 8 and before the start of business on Oct. 9.

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to contact the RCMP Shoal Lake detachment at 204-759-2344.
