You wanted summer?
Well, you've got it.
It's going to be 27 C today and highs in the low 30s right through Tuesday.
Of course, there could be the odd thundershower mixed in there because of the humidity. That could come on Thursday, if you look at Environment Canada, or Friday, if you look at The Weather Network.
But no matter. We're getting plenty of sunshine for the next few days.
Today, there will be a UV index of 8 or very high and a low of 14 C so strap on that hat if you're heading outside.
Thursday, Environment Canada is calling for sun in the morning with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a risk of a thunderstorm in the evening. The high will be 30 C but it will feel like 35 C.
Friday's high will be 32 C with a low of 17 C. The Weather Network says there is a chance of thundershowers but Environment Canada is calling for a sunny day. You can pick! At any rate, with the humidity, it will feel like 35 C.
Everyone agrees it will be a sunny weekend with highs of 32 C both days and, with lows of 21 C both nights, you can look forward to some of those balmy summer nights that we all love in Manitoba.
Early prognostications for Monday and Tuesday are highs of 31 C.
These are actually above normal temperatures for this time of year as the regional normals are a high of 26 C and low of 13 C.
