Suspect arrested in break-ins, vandalism

Winnipeg police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a pair of a break-ins involving an apartment complex in St. James and a grocery store on Ness Avenue, vandalism to vehicles and theft from the store.

On May 3, police say the suspect broke into an apartment complex through the front doors in the 400 block of Westwood Drive and then headed into the building's parkade where the suspect damaged 11 vehicles.

Police said the suspect stole merchandise on June 1 from a grocery story in the 1600 block of Ness Avenue. He returned the next day to return the items and received cash.

Sean Mark O'Handley of Winnipeg has been charged with multiple offences for his alleged involvement and is in custody at the Provincial Remand Centre.
