Suspect arrested in fatal Salisbury House shooting

Winnipeg police have made an arrest in the gang-style shooting at the Salisbury House on Pembina Highway more than five months ago.

Devin Kingsley Hall, 26, was arrested near the Polo Park Shopping Centre on Thursday at about 10:20 a.m.

Hall has been charged with first degree murder, attempted murder, and numerous firearms offences. He has been detained in custody.

Two men were shot inside the restaurant by a gunman on Sept. 27 at about 3 a.m. The two men were rushed to hospital, but Jeffrey Michael Lau, 23, later died of his injuries.

The second male was listed at the time in stable condition.

Police said today the arrest was made after a lengthy investigation by the Homicide Unit.

The investigation is continuing.
