Suspect in custody in Bloodvein man's death

A woman has been arrested in connection with a man's death Sunday evening on Bloodvein First Nation.

RCMP were called to a disturbance at a house party shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, they found an injured man. He was rushed to the nursing station where he died later that night.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide. Charges have not yet been laid.

Both the suspect and victim were residents of Bloodvein and knew each other, police said.

Bloodvein First Nation is located about 200 kilometres north of Winnipeg on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg.
