Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is expected to take in tonight's Bombers game versus the Argonauts.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is expected to attend tonight’s CFL game at Investors Group Field – but will not meet with Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz.

After Toronto’s mayor was absent from city council Friday, Toronto Coun. Doug Ford told reporters his brother Rob was en route to Winnipeg and planned to meet this city’s mayor.

"He’s out to visit the mayor of Winnipeg and maybe catch a football game out there and then going over out to Saskatchewan and meeting the mayor over there," said Doug Ford, according to the Toronto Star.

Katz is not in Winnipeg, however. No meeting between the two mayors will take place, said Bonnie Staples-Lyon, Katz’s chief of staff.

Winnipeg’s city council has begun its summer prorogation, a six-week legislative break.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers play the Toronto Argonauts tonight. Rob Ford is a big fan of football.
