Teen facing charges after several women were groped by a man on a bike

  • Print

A teen from Keewatin, Ont., is facing four counts of sexual assault after several women were groped by a male riding by on a bike over the last few weeks, Winnipeg police say.

On Aug. 20, a 48-year-old woman was walking in the area of Netley Street and North Drive when a male rode up behind her and groped her in the lower body. During their investigation, officers learned two other victims – women aged 53 and 42 – endured similar assaults that evening.

Ten days later, a group of girls was walking near Crescent Drive Park when a guy on a bike rode up and groped a 13-year-old girl.

Police made an arrest of a 17-year-old boy Wednesday. He was released on a promise to appear in court.
