Teens arrested following Transcona vandalism spree

Two 17-year-old boys were arrested Saturday night after four cars in Transcona were vandalized.

Winnipeg Police said it’s alleged that the two boys were driving along the 500-block of McMeans Avenue East just before 11 p.m. when one reached out the car window and smashed the windows of four parked cars.

Area residents contacted police. Two suspects were arrested.

Total damage to the cars was about $2,000.

The 17-year-old boys are each facing four counts of mischief under $5,000.

Both boys were released on a promise to appear in court.
