  • Print

Two youth males are facing charges following a robbery in Transcona early Tuesday morning.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Winnipeg police received words that a man was robbed in the area of McMeans Avenue East and Kildare Avenue East. Several units, including the canine and tactical support team, were dispatched to the area.

A 23-year-old victim was approached by three males, two of which were armed. The suspects demanded and received personal property, and fled the scene without physical confrontation.

Two of the accused, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre and are facing robbery-related offences.
