Temperature forecast to hit -3 C today

The overnight snow that Winnipeggers woke up to will turn moist and sticky by later today as warmer temperatures move in. There is even a risk of freezing rain tonight.

A high of -3 Celsius is expected, partnered with an east wind of 20 km/h that will shift to a south wind at 30 km/h sometime this morning. It will be cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries. Precipitation could turn to rain tonight with temperatures holding steady at -3.

Temperatures will hold steady until Saturday afternoon and then fall to about -7, with the cloud breaking up a bit toward evening.

Sunday will be a mix of sun and cloud with a high of +1. Rain is forecast for Monday with a high of +3. Temperatures will start to fall a bit starting Tuesday with a high of -6.
