Thief breaking into cars caught on tape
A 13-year-old male faces charges after the owner of a car caught a thief on video tape as he broke into his vehicle.
Video surveillance showed a figure breaking into the car and stealing property from it on Jan. 23 and Feb. 6. The homeowner, in the 400 block of Magnus Avenue, reported the thefts to police and gave them the videos.
At the same time, on Feb. 6, officers were investigating two other incidents, one on the same block on Magnus and the other in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue.
The 13-year-old also faces charges in connection with those thefts.
