Thieves target boating club

A break and enter Sunday evening caused $20,000 damage to the Redboine Boating Club on Churchill Drive.

Winnipeg police said the damage included smashed windows, doors and electronic items.

Thieves also made away with an assortment of power tools and lawn equipment.

Three male youths, all about 16 years old and wearing dark clothing, were reported to be in the area just before 8 p.m. when residents heard glass breaking.

Police ask that anyone with information about the incident or the suspect(s) to contact investigators at 986-2877 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
