Thompson cyclist killed in hit-and-run collision

A 19-year-old man on a bicycle was killed early Monday in Thompson after he was hit by a car that left the scene, Thompson RCMP reported.

The RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating the vehicle, possibly white in colour, involved in the fatal hit-and-run.

The cyclist was found lying on Highway 391, just south of the entrance to the Thompson Golf Course, by RCMP and emergency services who had been called to the scene at about 2 a.m. His name will not be released.
