Thousands watch Jets practice

"Go Jets go," hollered one fan, and the stands erupted with a rousing cheer.

Looks as though the people who've filled most of the lower bowl at the MTS Centre are glad to have hockey back.

Captain Andrew Ladd and defenceman Dustin Byfuglien drew the biggest cheers for the open Jets practice.

The lineups for free popcorn and drinks stretched more than 40 metres.

Practice goes until 1 p.m.
