At least three communities in the Lake Winnipeg area were temporarily without power Saturday.
Scott Powell, a spokesperson for Manitoba Hydro said the feeder that serves the areas of Matlock, Ponemah and Whytewold was off. The first call to alert Hydro of the outage came in around noon. Powell said that 979 customers were without power.
Crews arrived on the scene to determine what went wrong and power was restored around 4:20 p.m. Saturday.
