Three suspects sought in connection with stabbings
Police are seeking suspects in connection with separate stabbings that sent two men to hospital Friday night and early this morning.
The first involved a 19-year-old man stabbed in the upper body in the 600 block of Main Street. Police say they arrived on the scene at around 8:40 p.m. and found the injured victim. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, and was later upgraded to stable.
An investigation found that the victim got into an altercation with another man who approached him, resulting in the 19-year-old being stabbed, police said.
Police are seeking a suspect between the ages of 30 and 40, described as aboriginal in appearance, with short curly hair and a goatee.
The Division 11 Crime Unit is investigating. Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 204-986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
Then at around 2:50 a.m., police responded to the 3000 block of Ness Avenue and found a 25-year-old man who'd been stabbed. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Police say the man got into a fight with two males and one female, and was stabbed in the upper body.
Police are seeking three suspects. They include two caucasian males, the first around 6'1" with a skinny build, weighing around 165 pounds, and bald, and the second described only as being around 6'3". The third suspect is described as a caucasian female with brown hair and a thin build.
The investigation by the Division 12 Crime Unit continues. Anyone with information on the stabbing can call police at 204-986-2839 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
