Three youths charged after a series of thefts in St. Vital

Three teens were busted on bicycles early Friday morning after a series of thefts in St. Vital.

Around 6 a.m., police found three young men in the area of St. Mary’s Road and Ward Avenue. After speaking with them, police learned that the bikes the boys were riding had been stolen.

The East District Crime Unit continued the investigation and found that throughout the night various St. Vital properties had been stolen from, including:

  • 100 block of Hirt Crescent
  • 200 block of Barlow Court
  • 600 block of John Forsyth Road
  • 100 block of Yachts Cove
  • 100 block of Paddington Road

The three teens—12, 13 and 16 years old—have been charged with numerous theft-related offences. All three are in custody.

Anyone who may have been a victim of theft in the St. Vital area on Thursday evening or Friday morning is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-2857.
