Toews to tour city with Cup

  • Print

Jonathan Toews already hoisted a trophy for leading his team to the Rumble at the Ridge celebrity golf tournament title earlier this week.

But the NHL star will be carting around the really big prize Friday.

Toews, captain of the 2013 champion Chicago Blackhawks, will tour Winnipeg with the Stanley Cup.

The Jonathan Toews Community Centre will host a public celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Toews also said he’ll be taking the cup to the Children’s Hospital.

Toews plans to cap off the Stanley Cup visit by taking it out to his cabin with some family and friends.
