Traffic restricted on Broadway and Donald Street for work on water mains

The city will restrict traffic on Broadway and Donald Street for two months while construction crews replace aging water mains.

Work to replace the water mains began on Monday, and is expected to cost about $1.1 million and be complete by August. During construction, two westbound lanes on Broadway will be open to traffic between 7 and 9 a.m. Eastbound traffic will occasionally be reduced to two lanes during the afternoon rush between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Motorists will not be able to park on the westbound lanes.

Three southbound Donald lanes will be open during the afternoon rush, and there will be no parking in loading zones or on the streets.

All bus stops along Broadway remain in service.
